It has been posted numerous times in the past here on this sub over time. But you are definitely not alone on this issue. If I happen to miraculously get rid of this stutter, I will absolutely comment back here to let you know.

So really, the campfire stutter is one of few big problems I have yet to figure out how to solve. It could be related to the DX11AVX I am running the game on, which has had numerous problems in the past but some of those problems were solved through updates, for me atleast. A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic. If you are bothered by it then you will have a hard time playing any other game in the franchise.
I will try changing the borderless fullscreen and such and see if it helps, but idk. Anomaly is 64 bit and prob one of the smoothest versions of X-ray that exists. It did not at all fix or help the stutter but it did limit it to a more comfortable, controlled stutter which I can manage with. I havent tried fixing it, I just dropped the dynamic object distance down a notch so every campfire within 200 meters isnt stuttering my game down. Im guessing it is something engine level, possibly related to graphic rendering or something like that. My GPU does not struggle with the particle effects ( that much) but the weird stutter is something I have no clue about. I dont have a monster pc but it isnt potato either, and the game generally runs fine and smooth unless there is an obvious reason that it would not. I know, for a fact, that my pc should not be experiencing this stutter due to hardware limitations. The ground did not look wet despite the extremely heavy rain. Lots of thunder, but the lightning barely lit up the sky - just a few puny, dim bolts were noticeable in the distance. Some of which, could be a deal breaker for me: Lightning barely noticeable. But the thing that I dont get is, it shouldnt be stuttering. Having watched the Training Center stream tonight, I have the following feedback.
Some people have suggested changing DX versions, graphical setting changes, so on and so on. Also with chemical anomalies but to a lesser extent. I cant remember if it was the same in CoC since its been so long but as far as Anomaly goes I get the same issue. Ive had this problem for a long time as well.
